Historic Bull Street Online Tour

Sorrel-Weed House

Attributed to Charles B. Cluskey, this exceptional example of the Greek Revival style was completed in 1841 and has been preserved as one of Savannah's most imposing mansions. Important features of the exterior are the arches, a double half flight of stone stairs, and the Doric columns on the portico. Notable ironwork surrounds the formal front garden and adorns the portico and the balconies of the first story front windows. This elegant house was noted for its sumptuous and merry hospitality.
